MaterialPedia

This blog is an extension of MaterialPedia, a wiki-style database of alternative building technologies. Created by the Building Technologies Project at the Federation of American Scientists, the database provides information for builders, designers, and clients, giving detailed information about technical specifics, environmental impacts and efficiency, and performance.

FAS will maintain this blog as an extension to the Wiki site, posting updates on new products, test results, and relevant FAS projects. These two projects aim to expand the understanding and use of alternative building technologies within the building industry. They will also provide an adaptable showcase for new and innovative technologies that can grow in real time, allowing technological research to merge closer to product adoption.
